Healthy Work Life Balance
Many women today are independent and career motivated. Even those women who do not have a career outside of the house are doing more than the housewives of the past. Today, all women have to maintain a balance between their work and their personal lives. This balance can be hard to maintain, but it’s not impossible.
Maintaining this balance begins with planning and strategy. One way to approach this balance is to make a list of essential activities for proper health and well-being: exercise, sleep, prayer, meditation, or anything else that you deem is important for keeping you healthy and happy. Look at the reasons why you may not be participating in these activities now.

The elements necessary for your personal health and happiness should be as important as your work, because without them, your work will suffer as well. Don’t treat your personal needs as optional or extras. Think of these needs and activities as being as important to you as changing the oil in your car. Create a schedule that includes for these activities and stick to it. Don’t forget activities that refresh or relax you, such as manicures, massages, getting a haircut, or spending some time in the bathtub.

Some strategies will help you adopt and maintain a balance of work and personal life. You can even practice these activities at home to improve your work performance:

Don’t Panic:

Rather than making big life changes when you are feeling stressed out, consider seeking advice from a professional. You may need to find the balance between work and life before acting on big decisions.

Meditation:

This practice can help you connect to yourself and help to ease the tensions that you may have.

Self-Evaluation:

Think about how well you are able to perform the tasks in every area of your life. If you think that you aren’t performing well in some areas, consider hiring a professional or take actions yourself to restore balance.

Find Your Own Way:

Don’t follow others’ lifestyles in order to find balance in your own life. While guidance from others may be helpful, ultimately you need to decide what works for you.

Enjoy the Company of Others:

Choose to be around other people who have good, healthy habits and a good balance between work and life. Positive attitudes toward life often translate into healthy lifestyles.

Manage Your Thinking:

Think positively and constructively about your life and tasks. This will reflect positively on your mood and help motivate you creatively.

Have Healthy Boundaries:

Don’t sacrifice your privacy, even if your work and personal life is connected. Have real, healthy boundaries between your work and personal lives.

Refine the Systems:

Find a good system for managing your work and personal lives. You may need to create your own way to maintaining your balance between them.

Create Goals:

Keep an up-to-date plan about where you want to go with both your personal and professional life. Make the necessary changes to achieve these goals.
